New York City renowned photographer Andrew Brusso will be at Weeki Wachee Springs on Saturday July 5th, for the launch of the first ever 2009 Weeki Wachee Springs Mermaid Calendar!
Andrew and several of the mermaids who are featured in the calendar, will be signing these limited edition calendars for park guests from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. inside the park.

Mermaids of Weeki Wachee Springs to Splash at Ripley’s Aquarium in Myrtle Beach, SC!

The world famous mermaids of Weeki Wachee Springs attraction in Florida, will be performing at Ripley’s Aquarium in Myrtle Beach, SC on August 1-3, 2008. Ripley’s Aquarium (www.ripleysaquariums.com) is part of the Ripley Entertainment family of worldwide entertainment facilities.
The mermaids have scheduled three performances each of the three days, marking the first time in the 61 year history that the mermaids have performed outside of the famous spring of Weeki Wachee’s underwater theater.
Three veteran mermaids from Weeki Wachee Springs attraction have been chosen to embark on this unique performance. Mermaids Marcy, Stayce and Carli were chosen because they bring more than 25 years of mermaid experience to the event.
Studio 10 TV Visits Weeki Wachee!
Studio 10 TV recently visited Weeki Wachee Springs. Studio 10 host Holley Sinn, bravely accepted Mermaid Marcy's offer to become an honorary mermaid!
Holley did a remarkable job considering a quick training session with Mermaid Marcy. This segment featuring Weeki Wachee will air on Friday, June 27 at 10 a.m., on Tampa Bay's CBS affiliate Channel 10.
Special Thanks to Holley for putting on a tail and learning the difficulties of becoming a mermaid at Weeki Wachee.

CNN's "American Morning" Visits Weeki Wachee
CNN's popular morning show, "American Morning," recently visited Weeki Wachee Springs on May 15. CNN's Miami correspondent, John Zarrella reported live from the world famous underwater mermaid theater as mermaids performed.
CNN recently visited the word famous mermaid attraction several weeks ago, reporting on how smaller attractions are fairing in today's economy and how visitors are spending their time and money during this troubled economic time.
"American Morning" can be seen Monday-Friday beginning at 6 a.m.
